The Craft

This time-honoured process begins with the meticulous selection of fine ingredients — the highest quality durum wheat semolina, expertly blended with "00" flour and eggs to create a dough that is both tender and resilient. Slow-speed mixers preserve its texture and elasticity every step of the way.
Pasta is shaped into myriad forms — from delicate strands of spaghetti to intricate curly pappardelle — through traditional bronze dies that impart a rough surface, allowing sauces to cling more effectively.
The final step, quick freezing at low temperatures, ensures the pasta retains its shape and texture — resulting in a product that is superior in taste and quality.
Our pasta is available in Traditional Dough Gluten Friendly and Vegan Friendly options. Danilo's Pasta is now Halaal certified, enabling us to meet the demands of the expanding Cape Town market.
